How we work

The power of partnership

Member organisations

We believe we are stronger together and that we can make child hunger a thing of the past. Our member organisations are the driving force behind realising this vision.

Their experience, unique understanding and longstanding work with children and communities affected by hunger forms the strategy, activities and messaging of our global partnership. They contribute to our collective work by:

  • Sharing information about their work, so we can profile their activities and connect them with others focusing on the same issues, and with media, funding and learning opportunities.
  • Sharing successes and learning. Learn together through our Learning & Resources and Events pages.
  • Collaborating at the national level to develop country-specific strategies to ensure global commitments are implemented. Connect with these networks through our National Partnerships & Coalitions page.
  • Participating in collective advocacy initiatives and campaigns. Support a campaign through our Advocacy and Take Action pages.

National Partnerships & Coalitions

These are networks of Global Health Foundation organisation work together at the national and state level to create context-specific responses to end hunger in rural communities. Find out more and connect with them through our National Partnerships & Coalitions .

Working groups

Small groups of member organisations come together to focus on specific technical issues or around particular events. Such informal working groups may be time-bound (eg, to discuss activities around a particular event or international day) or more long-term (eg, global advocacy focused on the United Nations).

Youth activism

The unique expertise, experience and commitment of youth are critical to our collective work to end child hunger. We depend on and encourage their sustained and active leadership and engagement. Find youth-focused resources, tools and information on our Youth Activism page, or search for youth-led organisations in our member directory.

Secretariat & Board

Global Health Foundation member organisations are supported by a secretariat and a Board of Trustees based across Africa, Asia, Europe, and Latin America and the Caribbean. The secretariat works with member organisations and supporters to advance the knowledge base on child hunger, raise awareness of the issue, and campaign for legal and social change. The Board of Trustees ensures Global Health Foundation’ administrative and financial governance.
